WHAT IS RESPITE CARE?Respite is defined as, “a short period of rest or relief from something difficult”. The trained and experienced staff at Nurturing Newborns offers short term support and care for parents and their children during times of difficulty. We nurture the parent-child relationship by giving parents some relief and rest. We are committed to helping parents remain connected to their children in a positive way during challenging times.
“Knowing my girls were being taken care of gave me peace of mind and the rest I needed to recover after my surgeries and chemotherapy” L.M.

COST, PAYMENT AND HOURS
90% of the respite services we offer to families are provided by foundations or community resources. Parents or caregivers can also self pay for services. We are happy to discuss with you the funding needed for respite care and how we can work together to meet your needs.
We vary our services to meet the needs of each individual family. We work flexible hours and days that are mutually agreed upon by the family and respite provider.
