At Nurturing Newborns, we are passionate about helping families enjoy those first precious months with their new babies. Newborn Specialists from Nurturing Newborns provide education and support, as well as assisting with all aspects of newborn and infant care. Our services are tailored to meet with the needs of each individual family.

Services We Offer

• Education and information as parents prepare for baby's arrival
• Nursery preparation
• Competent care for your baby so parents can rest, including overnight care
• Answer questions and concerns parents may have concerning their infants in a positive, non-judgmental manner
• Keep accurate logs of feeding, sleeping, and diapering
• Light housekeeping
• Lactation and feeding support

For the Infant:

• Help in establishing a routine and schedule
• Feed, bathe, hold and nurture infants
• Launder all baby linens and clothing
• Prepare and wash all fedding supplies as needed

Consultation:
Occasionally, questions and problems may arise after the baby's arrival. Feeding problems, sleeping difficulties, or scheduling issues can cause stress and concern for parents. The Newborn Specialist will come to your home, observe the infant, and discuss your concerns. They can offer practical advice, based on years of experience. The calm advice and encouragement from a Newborn Specialist can alleviate much of the stress and anxiety, allowing a more relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for the whole family.

Education for Biological and Adoptive Families

Nurturing Newborns offers infant care education for families as they prepare for birth or prepare for adoption. Through a classroom setting, or a personalized one-on-one experience, the Newborn Specialists will provide important information concerning the day-to-day care of an infant. The educators at Nurturing Newborns create a safe learning environment that will help all parents feel comfortable asking questions and expressing concerns about their infant. Our education includes preparation and expectations, when to call the doctor, feeding, bathing, sleeping, crying and self-soothing, scheduling, and SIDS information.

• Our hours are flexible and based on the specific needs of each individual family
• 1 to 2 hour consultations available
• We offer temporary overnight care
• Our education classes are scheduled to meet the needs of families and may include evenings and weekends

Rates

• Hourly rates are based on the specific needs and situation of a family
• We offer infant care education classes to single families or groups at a competitive rate
